Producer/Director - ANTON CALIFANO
Anton is an independent filmmaker whose films explore themes of migration, cultural identity, justice, and social equality. His short films have been shown at festivals internationally and have won numerous awards. He has worked as a cameraman and editor on programmes for the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV, recently on "Beside Bowie" for Sky Arts and the "Why Poverty?" series for BBC Storyville. KILLING THE LAW is his first feature-length documentary.
Producer - MILICA KASTNER
Milica has been working in film practically all her life. Her father Elliott Kastner was one of the world’s biggest independent film makers. Milica started in marketing and publicity at EON for the James Bond Franchise then became head of development at REDBUS (now Lionsgate UK) bringing in the film Bend it Like Beckham. She met Gloria Morrison from JENGbA already in 2006 at Kindergarten when dropping of her children, and has been supporting Gloria's campaign to end Joint Enterprise ever since.
Associate Producer - TRISTAN ANDERSON
Tristan is a London based BAFTA winning documentary filmmaker with over 15 years producing and directing experience. Tristan's work has been broadcast in over 20 countries internationally including in the UK on the BBC, Channel 4, London Live and on the Emmy award winning Current TV. Tristan also co-founded and runs Doc Heads the UK leading documentary screening and networking organisation.
Editor - HUGH WILLIAMS
Hugh Williams is a London based editor with over 25 years of experience in film and television. He has completed a number of feature length films for both cinema and television, including "Fire In The Blood", and the Sundance favourite and BIFA Winner 'Black Gold'. Other films include Sarah Gavron’s ‘Village at the End of the World’ and Chloe Ruthen’s ‘The Do Gooders’. Drama features 'iLL Manors' and 'The Last Thakur' both had UK cinema releases. His work is characterised by a strong sense of narrative and a social conscience.
Editor - MARIKO MONTPETIT
Mariko Montpetit is a documentary editor who has previously worked with filmmaker Josh Oppenheimer on the Oscar Nominated "The Act of Killing" and The Look of Silence, Marcus Werner Hed on The R&B Feeling, Ivo Gormley on Kalash Rules, Chloë Mercier on Sex Needles & Roubles.
Additional Scenes - CHESTER YANG
Chester is a filmmaker with a passion to understand the world and a dedication to tell untold stories. In 2006, he graduates from the National Film and Television School to work on several short films, feature documentaries and short drama projects. In 2011, he founded CY Film Productions to produce groundbreaking films Like War Matters and Kettling of the Voices, which have been nominated for awards, broadcasted and shown at film festivals around the world. Chester has worked as an additional cinematographer in Killing The Law.
Social Media and Crowdfunding Coordinator - ANNIKA RANIN
Annika specialises in film distribution, marketing and social media. She has for years worked on media projects in Finland, including TV, radio, feature films and commercials and has been involved with various short films. Annika has recently relocated to the UK, where she studies film distribution and marketing. Annika has a background in journalism and hence a special interest in factual content and documentaries.
